A study reported the presence of aminoglycoside resistance gene aac(6')-Iaa_1 in serovar Telelkebir, frequent carriage of fosfomycin resistance gene fosA7, as well as the sporadic presence of other antimicrobial resistance genes. Serovar Telelkebir appears to carry the cytolethal distending toxin (CDT) gene.
