Background Information¶
Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Kinondoni (antigenic formula 17:a:e,n,x) is a serovar of the O:17 (J) serogroup.
Genetic Characteristics¶
Serovar Kinondoni is considered rare, and there is no known literature that has studied it.
Animal Reservoir¶
To date, the Linnaeus lizardremains the only known animal reservoir for serovar Kinondoni.
Geographical Distribution¶
Serovar Kinondoni has been reported in the US, Canada, and Europe such as France, Sweden, Australia, and the UK.
